A MAJOR new leisure destination featuring the UK's highest indoor rope course opened today at Merry Hill today (Friday November 9).
The Quest for Adventure Extreme indoor ropes course includes four levels of increasing difficulty and a ‘sheer drop feature.
At its highest point, the course tops out at just over 17 metres - the height of four double-decker buses stacked on top of each other.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy the experience of skating on real ice on a huge new outdoor ice rink which can accommodate up to 150 skaters on a 45-minute session.
As well as the high ropes courses and ice rink, Quest is also unveiling the world’s first ever Nerf Blaster Gallery where players can test their blaster skills and play against friends.
The attractions are part of an £1.25m investment by Paragon Entertainment Ltd which will eventually also include a themed indoor adventure golf course and a ropes course for children as young as two.
The 20,000 sq ft development will also incorporate a café, birthday party rooms and an outdoor area which will host a changing programme of family-based leisure activities.
New Quest Manager, Mark Knox, said: “It’s a fantastic venue with a huge variety of fun and challenging activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
“The high ropes course in particular is an awesome experience which provides a genuine challenge in a safe and supervised environment.”
Westfield’s marketing manager, Kelly Reed, said: “It’s a major investment and features a host of fun and exciting activities for people of all ages to enjoy.
“Quest will add a whole new dimension to the current shopping experience at Merry Hill.”
