A KINGSWINFORD-based accountancy firm is celebrating a successful start to the year after seeing a dramatic increase in business.
Small business specialist Lloyd Evans and his team at TaxAssist Accountants have been serving the area for a number of years from its Market Street base.
This year, the company has reported a 56 per cent year-on-year increase in the number of local businesses coming to them for help filing their tax returns.
They saw the biggest increase yet of people opting to file online, rather than on paper, with 89 per cent of clients using HMRC’s online service.
Mr Evans, who also owns the company’s Wolverhampton branch, said: “Small businesses face ever-increasing financial and administration challenges, which add to a tough, competitive market place.
“Over the years we’ve developed a reputation locally for our jargon-free advice and the support we give small businesses and start-ups, which helps free up their time to do what they do best – run their businesses.
“Our business grows through word of mouth recommendations and it’s great to see such a significant increase in referrals.”
TaxAssist Accountants operates across Kingswinford and the surrounding areas, providing tax and accountancy advice and services to more than 450 individuals and small businesses.
