A WEST Highland terrier stolen during a burglary near Stourbridge has been reunited with her owners.
Sooty the Westie was taken during a raid at Iverley on Monday but has been returned safe and well after being spotted wandering near Kidderminster.
The finder tracked down the missing pet’s owners who were delighted to have her back.
Staffordshire Police have thanked all those who helped to reunite Sooty with her family, telling them: “You helped achieve a happy ending to this shaggy dog story.”
However, officers are still appealing for witnesses and information relating to the burglary which happened at around 10.40pm.
The offenders were both wearing wellington boots and hoodies and one appeared to be taller than the other.
They are believed to have made off in a vehicle parked nearby, possibly in Sugar Loaf Lane near to Beechtree Lane.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 791 of April 11.
