DID you see this eerie red sun shining down across the Black Country this morning?
Members of the public have been taking to Facebook with their pictures and comments about the phenomenon, with some questioning whether the Apocalypse was coming and others thinking the moon had stayed out too late and was glowing red!
According to the Met Office, the strange glowing red sun was caused by the winds of Storm Ophelia pulling up Saharan dust.
Experts say the red appearance in the sky was due to dust being reflected and refracted in longer wavelengths.
