BLACK Country metal band WEAK13 are celebrating the release of one of their most successful music videos to date.

The band, fronted by Nick J Townsend, hired out legendary music club The Robin 2 in Bilston to film the video which sees them rocking out in inflatable outfits as they perform a cover of a song called Mary - originally performed by French ban BOPS.

The video, which can be viewed on YouTube https://youtu.be/DWlkvMs_loo, is a tribute to lost relatives and friends of the band and Nick told the News: “We made sure it had a fun family friendly music video and dedicated it to my father David Townsend, and my friend Shaun Ryan who was the editor of RGG magazine for 25 years and my musician friend Elizabeth Fields, after all three passed away last year.

"They all supported us musically and we thought something fun with rock and guitar solos would make them smile wherever they are now.”

The award-winning band are known for their ambitious, quirky and imaginative music videos, directed and edited by Nick himself, and this latest offering is one of their most successful to date – having notched up nearly 15,000 views on YouTube.

Mary features Nick J Townsend on vocals and guitar, long-time band member Wesley Smith on bass and John Stewart on drums and it is available from all major music streaming platforms.
