A LARGE plume of smoke seen billowing into the sky is believed to have been from a tractor fire in the Stourton area, the fire service has said.
Firefighters and police were alerted to the incident off Bridgnorth Road this afternoon (Tuesday August 9).
A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service said: “At 4.16pm, West Midlands Fire Service were called to reports of a fire on Bridgnorth Road."
Crews from Brierley Hill and Stourbridge were alerted to the incident and used breathing apparatus and an extended hose reel as they tackled the flames.
The fire service spokesperson said the tractor was "well alight in a field" and that colleagues from West Midlands Police were helping to manage traffic.
