UPDATE - The motorway has now reopened.
EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of a lorry fire on the M5 this morning (Monday, January 16).
The blaze broke out on the M5 northbound between J4 (Rubery) and J3 (Quinton).
The section of motorway was closed whilst the scene was cleared and is now fully reopen.
An image of the incident shows a large plume of smoke covering the carriageway.
Traffic has been STOPPED on the #M5 northbound in #Worcestershire between J4 (#Rubery) and J3 (#Quinton) due to a lorry fire on the hard shoulder.

National Highways tweeted: "The scene is now clear and all lanes have re-opened on the #M5 northbound in #Worcestershire between J4 (#Rubery) and J3 (#Quinton) following a lorry fire.
