POLICE have appealed for dashcam footage after a fatal car crash in Oldbury which left one man dead and another seriously injured.
A car was found on its roof last night (Sunday April 14) when emergency services arrived in Stone Street just after 8pm.
A man, believed to have been a passenger in the car, was confirmed dead at the scene and another man, thought to be the driver, was found with what have been described as “potentially life-changing injuries” – West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
West Midlands Police has said officers are supporting the families of both men and a spokesperson for the force said of the incident: “We're appealing for information after a man sadly died following a collision in Oldbury last night (14 April).
“A car hit fencing along Stone Street at just after 8pm.
“The man was tragically confirmed dead at the scene and another occupant has been taken to hospital. He remains in a serious condition.
“We'll be supporting both their families at this terrible time.
“We're keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and has not already spoken to officers.
“We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who was travelling through and has dashcam footage.”
