Dharminder Singh Dale, of Platts Crescent, had knowingly allowed a building in Walsall to be used when it had been prohibited under the Housing Act because of an electrical hazard. He was fined £5,000, ordered to pay £2,300 costs and to pay £181 into the victim services fund.
A Brierley Hill 61-year-old has been ordered to pay £690 for a racial assault. David Stephen Stephens, of Church Hill, pleaded guilty to a racially aggravated assault on Farhan Khalid in Dudley last July. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay £250 compensation and £40 into the victim services fund.

Kieran Ashley Russell, aged 29, of Collis Street, had denied the charge of beating Daniel Rumble. He was placed on a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and placed on a 7pm to 7am electronically tagged curfew for 12 weeks. He must also pay £600 in compensation and costs.
