A TALENTED young actor is being sought to play the lead role in Stourbridge Theatre Company's forthcoming production of Goodnight Mister Tom.
The play, based on Michelle Magorian's much-loved children's story and adapted for the stage by David Wood, is being presented at Stourbridge Town Hall from September 6 to 8.
Auditions for the part of William Beech, who is evacuated at the start of WWII to the English countryside to live with elderly recluse Tom Oakley, are being held on Monday April 30 at 7.30pm in Stourbridge.
Young thespians aged 12 to 16, ideally quite small in size, are sought to take on the demanding role of William.
Rehearsals will start in late May/early June and will be held in Stourbridge on Monday and Thursday evenings.
It is expected that William will be required for the majority of rehearsals and each evening from Monday September 3 at Stourbridge Town Hall for rehearsals and performances.
And he will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian on each occasion.
