THE long-awaited Love From Stourbridge tour featuring two of the Black Country's most famous bands ended with barnstorming shows in Birmingham.
Ned's Atomic Dustbin and The Wonder Stuff finished a run of 12 gigs around the UK at the city's O2 Academy on Sunday (April 15).
The co-headlining tour had visited venues as far apart as Glasgow and Bournemouth including two shows in London and two shows in Birmingham.
The gigs came nearly three decades after their first major tour together and proved neither band has lost the ability to deliver storming performances.
Jonn Penney, from Ned's Atomic Dustbin, said: "It's been an amazing experience getting back out there and taking the show to people who haven't seen us since the 90s.
"It's an entirely different beast when you play to people on their doorstep instead of expecting them to travel to London, Birmingham or Wolverhampton to see us.
"I think we might have surprised ourselves and hopefully surprised the fans too. It doesn't seem to matter how long it’s been since we last toured - after a couple of shows it just all seemed to click again for band and crew.
"Is it pretentious to say that we were all back in our natural habitat?"
