EIGHTIES pop sensation Tiffany has been forced to cancel her appearance at Stourbridge’s Chicago Rock Cafe.

The singer - most famous for her chart hit I Think We’re Alone Now - was due to perform at the High Street pub on Thursday October 9.

But US-born Tiffany, who lives in LA with her British husband Ben George from Cannock, has been forced to cancel the gig due to 'work permit issues'.

The singer, who had three UK top ten hits in her heyday and recently returned to the Billboard Top 100 with her new track Higher, had been booked to perform a half hour set at the venue and the show was expected to be a sell-out.

Matt Irvine, assistant manager of Chicago Rock Cafe, said: "It's a bit of disappointment - it was going to be a good show."

He said all tickets bought in advance would be refunded. Ticket holders can call the venue on 01384 444535.
