Really sorry to hear of Alans passing. I must have known him for 50 years through the tool trade which was his life.
I worked for Alan Hughes Distributors as an agent for several years and became a friend of both Alan and his late wife.
During this period I always found him to be a perfect gentleman truly respected and trusted by all who knew him.
We kept in touch and when I last spoke to Alan a few weeks ago, although confused he still wanted to talk about the trade.
I shall miss his calls and my occasional visit to his home in Stourbridge.
