Fresh from Year 11 exams, almost 900 students spent Friday 28th June working with staff and students as King Ed’s opened its doors to welcome the September 2013 students.
Entertainment on the day was provided by the Student Union –famed for their organisation of mass dances involving hundreds of students. Elsewhere on the campus students gave tours of the college, sold cakes in aid of charity, and provided advice and guidance to incoming students.
When asked how the day went, some of the most common responses included “Brilliant”, “Fantastic”, and “Awesome”. Not even the wet weather could dampen their spirits. Commenting on the day Director of Admissions Peter Gray said “all our staff were really impressed by the calibre of our incoming students. Their enthusiasm is great, we cannot wait to work with them”
More pictures and a time lapse video of the event are available via the college website.
