Year five pupils from King's Hawford experienced Tudor sealife when they spent two days on board a replica of Sir Francis Drake's Golden Hinde.
The Worcester children dressed in Tudor clothing, taking on the roles of gunners, barber surgeons and ship's officers.
While on board the ship they were introduced to a range of tasks including raising the anchor and making preparations for a mock battle.
Following the battle the children enjoyed a Tudor broth with some bread before settling down to sleep on the deck, as Drake's sailors would have done.
After an early rise the children took a boat along the Thames to the National Maritime Museum to complete a nautical experience that was enjoyed by all.
