STOURBRIDGE'S home friendly against Solihull Moors tomorrow night has been postponed.
The Glassboys recently received matched grant funding from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund to carry out upgrades on the floodlights at the War Memorial Ground.
That work has been carried out at the ground over the past few days. However, the heavy machinery involved in the process has caused some damage to the playing surface at Amblecote and the football club will now have to carry out remedial work this week.
As it has not been possible to switch the fixture to Solihull, Stourbridge will now have no midweek friendly fixture this week. Their next pre-season match will be away to Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday, August 2.
Due to the cancellation of the home friendly against Solihull Moors, the sale of season tickets at the ground will now be deferred until Thursday, July 31 from 7.30pm until 9pm.
