Pedmore Technology College and Community School in Stourbridge is hosting a 2 day “Jam Packed” Computing roadshow giving the community the opportunity to be hands-on in Computing workshops and activities. Families and anyone interested in learning computing skills (no experience necessary) are invited to register for one or both sessions on Friday 30th January and Saturday 31st January 2015. There is no cost to participants for taking part.
During the school day, students and teachers will participate in a full day’s computer roadshow - Hack To The Future. A team of experts will plan and lead the workshops and activities here at PTC. Please note - this day time event is not for members of the general public.
On the Friday evening between 6:00-9:00pm, we host Family Hack Jam. Here families are invited from the community to compete in a 3 hour "hackathon". No previous experience is required, a basic introduction to problem solving using Computing tools is given and then teams will be asked to collaborate to create a solution to the problem. This is then followed by presentations and prize giving.Click here to watch a video of a Family Hack Jam
On Saturday 31st January it’s Raspberry Jam: Anyone with a passion or interest in Computing can join in. Raspberry Jam offers a blend of workshops, demonstrations, talks and exhibitions. For a video all about Raspberry Jam, click here
