New laws are set to come into force in July banning smoking in enclosed public areas and workplaces.
But one Black Country firm has already geared up for the legislation after developing a range of new waste containers.
Staff at Allwaste's manufacturing facility in Peartree Lane, Dudley, have been working on the design which will be tailored for businesses, public buildings and licensed premises where provisions will be made for customers and staff to smoke outside but where bosses don't want unsightly cigarette butts around their premises.
The containers are made from heavy gauge steel and come in a range of shapes, sizes and colours.
They can be filled with sand and provide a safe and aesthetically pleasing container for discarded cigarette ends ensuring outdoor areas remain clean.
The design also makes the containers both easy to empty and cost effective. And if customers have specific requirements, there is a bespoke service available to design and build one-off and specialist containers to individual needs.
Allwaste, who also have offices in Halesowen, have been making environmental management equipment for a number of years, primarily manufacturing skips for the commercial and industrial markets. Skilled workers and local materials ensure items are made to the highest specifications.
With so much concern about the environment and recycling, Allwaste have now moved into the business of renting skips to domestic as well as commercial users.
They will deliver to residential homes or businesses and, on collection, always aim to drop waste at the nearest commercial waste transfer station to you.
This means that not only is the waste separated for disposal in the most efficient way possible but it also reduces the amount of diesel needed to get it there.
The company takes pride in the way their vehicles and skips look when they take to the road so you don't need to be ashamed to have them on your premises.
This progressive and confident local company are always seeking to expand their range of products and services and currently have a number of other products under development.
