HAGLEY parish councillors have launched a stinging attack on Worcestershire County Council over failure to deliver services.
Parish council chairman Steve Colella says problems over road surfacing, tree maintenance and permission to install street furniture have all been outstanding for over a year with no sign of resolution.
Mr Colella added the lack of action is causing frustration, anger and embarrassment and complaints are falling on deaf ears.
He said: "I am particularly sorry for the residents who have taken time to encourage us to enhance the village.
"There is a disproportionate amount of time spent chasing these complaints when they appear straightforward to resolve."
Parish councillors are also seething because they say the county council has failed to ensure obligations for housing developments are fulfilled.
Mr Colella said: "Repairing the road surface along Cavendish Road and Milestone Drive was a condition of the planning approval for the housing on the old sewage works, which have now been completed for two, or three years and it still hasn't been properly repaired."
Worcestershire County Council say they need an extra £76m to properly address road maintenance in the county, which is four times their annual budget for this kind of work.
A County Council spokesman said: "We're aware of Hagley Parish Council's issues and will look at why they have not been addressed as quickly as they would like.
"Improving highways and footpaths is a County Council priority and when our partners such as the parish councils give us direct feedback on issues they feel should be addressed, we always try and listen.
"As far as pot-holes are concerned, then an assessment should be carried out as soon as possible and the relevant road fed into our maintenance programme."
