STOURBRIDGE teens have been urged to apply for a host of glamorous work experience placements including Everton FC and Rick Stein's seafood restaurant to make it a half-term to remember.
The Learning Skills Council has launched a contest for 16-18 year-olds to scoop leading work placements.
Placements include working for record firm Sony BMG, Red Bull Formula 1 or backstage at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Sugar magazine or as a sports journalist for Sportsbeat.
Julia Dowd, director of Learning at the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), said: "Work experience is absolutely crucial in today's competitive job market."
To apply for these placements taking place during May half-term youngsters can go to www.getsetforlife.org.uk.
