Sedgley WMC with only two games to play also won 4-1 on the tables of Stourbridge Institute A. David and Darren Oakes, Jason Colbourne and Mark Ganderton won but Eliott Bastable lost only his second frame on the black against Ron Millward, making a welcome, rare appearance.

Norton Social A's progress was halted when they lost 4-1 at Kingswinford Cons A. Only Roger De Saulles could win as Rob Hall, Mark Bould, Roy Blewitt and Ed Gough, who handed Rob Pitt his first defeat in 12 frames.

Langley Bowling Club took advantage of a postponed match for joint leaders, Amblecote RBL B as Mark Nemedi, Alan Hadley and Dave Dowse edged a 3-2 win at Kingswinford Cons SC to lift themselves four points clear at the top of the Second Division, their seventh successive win, although John Cowan and Tim Carter won a frame each for Kingswinford.

Although the consistent Harry Jones and Simon Tyler won again for Stourbridge Cons, Alan Hale, Anthony Fellows and an impressive Bob Mason saw Wombourne B to a 3-2 win.

Central SC B stormed to a 5-0 maximum at Stourbridge Cons B and hold a ten point advantage in the Third Division with only three games to be played.

Amblecote Institute D showed no sympathy to their F team, posting their own 5-0 scoreline to move into a share of second place with Kingswinford Cons C, who did well to defeat another of the challengers, Dibdale SCB 4-1.

Mark Daniels, David Hickinbottom, Alan Jeffries and Malcolm Lindop, making a rare appearance, won a closely contested match for Kingswinford with Richard Crowley earning some consolation for Dibdale.

Amblecote Institute C won 4-1 at Pensnett Liberals and lie three points adrift of the pair in a share of second place.
