PUPILS at Quarry Bank Primary school dressed up as their favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day.
The whole school joined in to dress up on Thursday March 1 and received £1 book tokens to encourage them to read.
Josh Garbett, aged ten, in year six at Quarry Bank Primary School said: "World Book Day is enjoyable because it encourages you to read new books you've never read before."
World Book Day is an event which promotes the enjoyment of books and reading - participating schools receive a pack and a token.
Staff at Quarry Bank Primary School also ran an additional competition so that the best dressed costumes received an additional token.
