BRIERLEY Hill's Waterfront has been shortlisted for a national award due to how it has been regenerated and developed.
The Waterway Renaissance Awards are organised by The Waterways Trust and The British Urban Regeneration Association.
Brierley Hill's Waterfront has been selected as a finalist in the Area Based Regeneration category of the awards.
The Waterfront has been developed and the Dudley No 1 canal has been restored in length and the new basin now features canal-user amenities, bars, restaurants and a four star hotel.
There are ten categories and the Waterfront is facing stiff competition as Putney Wharf in London is in the same category.
The winners of the awards will be announced at dinner in Manchester on March 21 and will be hosted by OBE John Craven, presenter of BBC1's Countryfile.
Enterprise and Development Manager, Brierley Hill Regeneration, Shawn Riley said: "The Dudley No 1 canal and Waterfront marina are fantastic assets to Brierley hill and are a credit to joint owner's westfield and QIC."
