A LYE man has been jailed for 12 weeks for beating up his mother while he was drunk.
Stuart Billingham, aged 37, of Gibbs Road, Lye, was sentenced by Halesowen Magistrates on Thursday February 22 for the assault, committed at an address in New Farm Road while he was serving a community order.
Magistrates said Patricia Billingham was as a vulnerable victim and a custodial sentence was justified.
Billingham, who admitted the offence at an earlier hearing, was also jailed for an additional four weeks for theft.
Before Halesowen Magistrates on Monday February 26.
o Samantha Jayne Hale. aged 34, of Evers Street, Quarry Bank, was given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay £70 costs for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.
o Rachel Taylor, aged 23, of Brook Street, Wordsley, was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £190 plus £70 costs for driving with excess alcohol.
Taylor was fined a further £50 for driving without appropriate insurance, she also admitted driving without an appropriate licence.
o David Sandon, aged 46, of Dobbins Oak Road, Stourbridge, was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £300 plus £70 costs for driving with excess alcohol.
o Terrence Palmer, aged 44, of Woodfield Road, Wollescote, agreed to be bound over to keep the peace for 12-months in the sum of £250 for a breach of the peace.
Before Halesowen Magistrates on Friday February 23.
o Alexis Amina Killworth, aged 22, of Brooklands, Wordsley, was fined £125 plus £43 costs for driving without an appropriate licence.
Killworth was also given six penalty points and fined a further £250 for driving without appropriate insurance.
o Matthew Christopher New, aged 18, of The Dell, Wollaston, was fined £500 plus £70 costs for using threatening abusive words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, likely to cause harassment or distress.
The court heard the offence was religiously aggravated in accordance with the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
o Jamie Power, aged 30, of Smallshire Way, Wordsley, was given a 12-month community order including 100 hours unpaid work plus six penalty points for driving while disqualified.
Power was given a further 12-month order to run concurrently and instructed to pay £70 costs for driving without appropriate insurance.

o Stephen Mark Didlick, aged 44, of Trinity Road, Stourbridge, was given a 12-month community order and instructed to pay £87 costs for assault.
Before Halesowen Magistrates on Monday February 19.
o James Marshall Zowie Blake, aged 33, of High Street, Lye, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £70 costs for possession of cannabis.
o Jack Frank Raybould, aged 18, of Woodgate Way, Belbroughton, was given a 12-month conditional discharge for possession of cannabis.
Raybould was given a further 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £70 costs for possession of an offensive weapon.
o Stuart Colledge, aged 20, of Brook Street, Lye, was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay £60 costs for driving without an appropriate MOT or insurance.
o Benjamin Jonathan Hunter, aged 25, of Brackendale Way, Stourbridge, was fined £90 plus £60 costs for driving without an appropriate MOT.
o Alexander Lacey, aged 19, of Blithe Close, Amblecote was fined a total of £100 plus £60 costs for two counts of driving a motor car on a footpath, bridle path or off road without lawful authority.
o Carol Ann Perry, aged 59, of Foster Place, Wollaston, was given a conditional discharge for 12-months and ordered to pay £95 costs for dishonestly obtaining an insurance policy.
Perry was also given six penalty points and fined £100 for driving without appropriate insurance.
o Louise Marie Clift, aged 25, of Hill Bank, Lye, was given a conditional discharge for 12-months and ordered to pay £245 costs for failing to notify authorities of a change in circumstances affecting entitlement to council tax benefit.
