Old Halesonians continued with their winning ways by digging out an away victory against a stubborn Spartans side.
Old Hales played up the slope in the first half and for long periods had to play rugby from in their own half as the home side played territorial rugby.
Old Halesonians defence was again the cornerstone to the victory.
The visitors opened the scoring when good work by the forwards was stopped only yards away from the line but scrum half Chris Wagstaffe was alert enough to pick up the ball to score a converted try.
Playing down the slope in the second half Old Hales were soon putting Spartans under pressure and despite being awarded a number of infringement penalties they could not add to their score.
This soon appeared to be costly when the home side conjured up a deserved converted try.
But the visitors were able to lift their game when centre Alex Church sprinted through the oppositions defence to score a magnificent try which Seb Rose converted to seal victory.
Despite victory the Old Hales players were disappointed with their performance.
Winger Tim Curtis said: "It was an eerie atmosphere in the dressing room after as players were disappointed with the result.
"This just shows how far we have come this season in that we are determined to get out of this league.
"Last season we would have been celebrating this sort of victory."
Next week Old Hales face an away non-league encounter against Yardlians.
