CLENT walkers who use the nature spot Uffmoor Wood are being warned to keep on the lookout for bird traps.
Bird lovers were left sickened after three blue tits were discovered trapped on a stick on Friday March 9.
A bird trap had been set up which was a large stick covered in tacky glue to catch birds as they flew into it.
Walkers made the discovery at around 9.30 am and tried to free the trapped birds but were unsuccessful and the birds later died.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds were informed of the incident.
