Stourbridge manager Gary Hackett was feeling upbeat after his side picked up a deserved win away at Rushall Olympic on Tuesday evening to move them back up to third in Midlands Division One.
Two goals from Mark Bellingham plus one from Adam Bastable were enough to get them their first win in three.
The manager was over the moon with the win.
He said: "I was delighted to return to winning ways.
"We were poor for the first twenty minutes but after tha I thought we were in control of proceedings and deserved the victory."
The manager singled out centre halves Nathan Bennett and and Craig Slater for praise after coping admirably with the dangerous Rushall strikeforce of Tyrone Bennett and Dean Parrow.
The win was a welcome tonic after the Glassboys were only able to pick up a point at home to Aylesbury on Saturday despite taking the lead through Bellingham.
Hackett was upset his team had not won the game and said: "I was disappointed not to hang on to the lead.
"Once we went ahead we should really have closed out the game but we didn't. It was a vast improvement on the Evesham game though, so I got the reaction I was looking for."
The Glassboys will next travel to Sutton Coldfield on Saturday and Hackett is expecting his squad missing only Tim Nicholls and Ross Collins to have their promotion credentials examined again.
