STOURBRIDGE College have appointed a new project director to oversee the building of new facilities in Stourbridge and Brierley Hill.
Neil Stamps based in Kidderminster, has extensive knowledge in construction especially in the educational sector.
Mr Stamps has recently overseen contracts in a large new redevelopment at Suffolk College and a listed development at Oxford University.
The new facilities are planned for Brierley Hill where a new £23m campus is expected to be built to relocate the visual and performing arts department - this campus would also incorporate A-levels and basic skills.
Neil said: "These are ambitious and challenging plans and I am delighted to have the opportunity to play a part in bringing them to fruition, we are currently undertaking extensive feasibility works and progressing towards site acquisitions."
Plans are expected for the Hagley Road Centre in Stourbridge to be replaced with a £16m state-of-the-art complex to update facilities which will match the courses on offer.
College principal Lynette Cutting said: "I am pleased to welcome Neil to Stourbridge College, his wealth of experience will be essential for the success of the projects, one of Neil's first tasks will be to select the team of professionals required to complete this exciting undertaking."
