One of the best examples of team fishing this winter came from Black Country based match team TOP 4's, who clinched the Mosella Moorlands Farm Winter League, last weekend.
The team consisting of Mike Ludwyche, John Cockayne, Lee Richards, and Neville Groves came through 12 hard fought rounds, fished in all the extremes the UK's weather could throw at them and narrowly won on a weight count back, the last round proved to be a nail biting event where any one from three leading teams could have still won the league.
The Moorlands Farm Winter league sees top teams of four from around the midlands competing for the trophy and cash prizes over 12 rounds, the Top 4's team weighed in an impressive winter weight total of 1,388lbs of fish over the 12 matches to take the title.
Applications from teams to fish this year's winter league at the fishery are already coming in, ring Mal on 01299
