From the start of the Easter school holidays, angling venues all around the midlands will be organizing junior matches and events.
These always prove to be popular with some fisheries reporting 30 to 50 kids, turning up for events.
Last year angling was voted one of the top five sports in the UK, for helping to alleviate crime and junior social problems in the community, a record angling organizations, clubs and fishery owners worked very hard to achieve and one that this coming year they are determined to improve on even more.
Up until the age of 12, juniors don't even have the expense of having to purchase a fishing license, so costs usually only run to tackle, bait and a junior day ticket.
So in an effort to help this nationwide drive to get even more kids hooked on angling, I'll be publishing every month junior events and telephone numbers, provided by midland fisheries.
So keep reading the column and look in on the junior page on wwww.midlandanglingnews.com as all the events and details will be published, as I get them.
