Rushall Olympic 1 Glassboys 3
The Glassboys climbed to third in Midlands Division One after a hard fought 3-1 win away at an in-form Rushall Olympic.
Stourbridge turned up at Dales Lane having picked up only one point in the last six and faced a Paul Holleran side who had won three on the bounce.
Olympic came out of the blocks like a side in form with strikers Tyrone Barnett and Dean Perrow (both on loan from AFC Telford) causing the Glassboys plenty of problems.
They took a deserved lead on 21 minutes after Barnett found space at the near post to volley home a Anthony Maguire corner past Lewis Solly.
The Glassboys were now on the ropes and were fortunate not to go two down on 28 minutes when Rob Holdcroft's low drive was only parried by Solly but thankfully a brave last ditch challenge from Ryan Mahon denied Maguire an easy tap in.
This seemed to act as a wake up call for the Glassboys who slowly got back into the game.
They were rewarded for their efforts on 35 minutes when Bellingham turned on a Sam Rock flick on to put Stourbridge level only moments after having a good penalty claim turned down.
The hosts were very close to retaking the lead on the stroke of halftime when Perrow latched on to a Barnett pass but his low drive struck the left hand post before rolling to safety.
The Glassboys came out for the second half with a real spring in their step and took control of proceedings in fortunate fashion when a harmless corner from Adam Bastable from the right was misjudged by stopper Ryan Price who was only able to parry the ball over the goal line to the delight of the visiting fans behind the goal.
With the superb Nathan Bennett and Craig Slater repelling Rushall's attacking intents with consummate ease the Glassboys sealed victory in the dying moments when an excellent play from substitute Paul Moore called Price into action but he was only able to parry the ball into the path of Bellingham who slotted the ball into an empty net.
