On Wednesday January 20, 12 members of the luncheon group met at the Granary Hotel, one of our favourite venues.
As a change the next get together was held on Tuesday March 13 at The French Connection in Stourbridge.
As is usual at this time of year, on Shrove Tuesday February 20, several of our members joined those from each of the Hagley groups at the Community Centre for the traditional Pancake Day lunch, after which talk was given by Chloe Lees.
Another traditional event was held the following evening, namely our February Feast which is held in Broome Village Hall, with caters preparing the meal.
On March 20, at 10.30 am, members are invited to the WI annual council meeting at the Forum Theatre, Malvern.
The main speaker this year will be one of the Calendars Girls, Tricia Stewart, followed by Tom McDonald.
The spring group meeting will be held at Stourton Village Hall on March 28 at 7.30 pm the hostess Institute being Kinver.
The speaker's subject will be "My life as a Butlins Red Coat".
The next meeting will be held at Broome Village Hall on Wednesday March 21 at 7.30 pm, the speaker for the evening being Kevin Bayley, head teacher of Hagley Primary School.
His subject will be "Hagley to China".
