Junior football round-up
Stourbridge Glassboys U8s were in fine form after they beat Withymoor Colts West 6-0.
The goals were shared out between Josh Poole (2), Niall Smith, Josh Hearne, Connor Smith and man of the match Owen Taylor.
The U9s won 3-0 at Kingswinford AFC West with goals from Cameron Botfield, Jake Edmead and Dominic Lamb.
A last minute strike from man of the match Dominic O'Reilly was enough to give the U7s West a 1-0 win against Trysull Tigers.
The U7s East battled out a 2-2 draw with Wordsley Wasps East, Charlie Mackenzie and Joshua Worrall were on the scoresheet and Kian Douglas was man of the match.
Stourbridge Glassboys are currently looking for boys or girls in school year one to create a team to enter the league next season. They are an F.A. Halas Hawks The U7s East eased through to the cup semi finals with a 6-2 quarter final win over Kewford Eagles South.
Hawks were always in control and goals from Nick Clayton-Phillips (2), Jake Gilson (2), Michael Ly and Matthew Hancox gave them a comfortable win.
A joint man of the match award went to Matthew Hancox and Jack Layton.
The U7s West met Kewford East and put on probably their best performance of the season which resulted in a 3-1 win. Goals came from Matthew Evans, Shannon Stamps and George Hands with Cameron Keenan getting man of the match.
The U8s Dynamos were unfortuantely drawn against Division One team, Penn Colts North and despite a spirited performance went down 7-0. Goalkeeper Anthony Cowdell won man of the match.
The Halas/Penn competition was however evened up by the Halas U8s East team who beat Penn Colts South 11-1 with goals from Ethan Shelly (5), Ben Clarke (4), Jordan Staten and man of the match Cain Smith.
The U10s East beat Castle Youth 3-0 in the cup quarter final.
An excellent all round performance by the lads who went 1-0 up and then had to soak up pressure before two more goals secured a win.
Alex Smith scored two with the other coming from an own goal.
Men of the match were Josh and Louis Ezewele who were literally a tower of strength in defence.
The U10s North got back to form in their end to end game with Wordsley Wasps which ended in a 1-1 draw with the goal coming from man of the match, Philip Mylona.
The U12s fought hard against Penn Colts but went down 1-0 with Alex Gregory getting man of the match.
The U13s met Pensnett Panthers West and in a hard fought game between two very even teams, it finished honours even at 2-2.
Halas goals were scored by Conor Devaney and Jack Bennett. Man of the Match went to the inform goalkeeper, Chris Holland.
In the girls Merit Shield games the U12s West beat Kewford North 1-0, after an inspired game from Eve McGlynn, who also got the all important goal.
The U14s West met Fens Pool and were in full control after going 4-1 up, but they then had a wake up call after Fens Pool pulled out all the stops and brought the score to 5-5.
Halas then had to fight hard but managed a late winner in an exciting 6-5 win. Lilly Crawshaw and Katie Wilkes got two each and there was one apiece for Rebekah Trevis-Smith and Stacey Jones.
The U14s East had a more comfortable game against Kingswinford, winning 5-0 with the goals shared between Elizabeth Richards, Lydia Bradley, Olivia Emerson, Kirsty Houston and Gaby Walley.
Brierley Hill Bullets The U8s East defeated Kewford Eagles South 1-0 thanks to a Leigh Foster goal.
Matthew Tarr picked up the man of the match award.
The U9s East beat Warstones Wanderers North 2-1 with Corey Barnes and Luke Beddall getting the all important goals.
Niall Clarke scored the only goal in the U10s North 1-0 win over West Hagley.
Jim Moseley won the man of the match award.
The U10s South lost 3-0 to Penn Colts.
The U10s West were beaten 5-0 by Gornal North.
The U11s East were beaten 5-3 by Warley Borough.
The goals were scored by Daniel Howell, James Clarke and Jordan Roberts with Jack Parkes picking up the man of the match award.
The U11s West hammered Hasbury Rangers 11-0.
Luke Beatrup (3), Jordan Paraszczak (2), Alex Sharp (2), Thomas Marshall, George Hillman, Alister Duncan, and Danny Hall were on the scoresheet with Kai Cartwright winning the man of the match award.
The U12s East went down 3-2 against BHB West.
The U12s West won 3-2 against BHB East.
Alex Harris notched a brace with Kyle Foster getting the third.
Joshua Parsons picke dup the man of the match award.
The U14s East were defeated 5-3 by Hasbury West.
The U15s drew 1-1 with Kewford Eagles.
Stephen Devonport scored the only goal with James Harris picking up the man of the match award.
Hasbury Rangers In a tight fought encounter the U9s slippeed to a 1-0 defeat away at Trysull Tigers in the semi final of the League Cup.
The U9s Colts were beaten 3-1 by Rio Saints Juniors.
The only goal was scored by man of the match Rhys Cook.
The U11s beat Withymoor Colys 5-2 .
Robert Box claimed a hat-trick, with Joseph Thompson and Beasley getting one apiece.
The man of the match award went to Jordan Parkes.
The U12s played out a 2-2 draw with Lapal Colts.
Reiss Vaughan scored both goals with Adam Hadley winning the man of the match award.
The U14s West defeated Brierley Hill 5-3 thanks to goals from Greg Warren, man of the match Ben Stevenson, Jack Foley (2) and Mathias Francis.
Halesowen Town Colts The U11s reached the final of the League Shield after an outstanding 4-1 win against Arden Forest. The Yeltz got off to a dream start when Dan Smith went on a solo run which saw his cross deflect in after just 37 seconds.
Halesowen dominated from then on with Danny Deakin scoring two and Smith adding another.
Forest Falcons The U9s East were on the top of their game to beat Withymoor Colts 6-0.
Jacob Lane claimed a hat-trick with Dom Holt (2) and Luke Parker also getting on the scoresheet.
Withymoor Colts The U10s West claimed a 3-1 win over the U10s East thanks to goals from Jake Allsopp (2) and Mcaughley.
A tremendous all round team performance from the U12s saw them beat second placed Trysull 7-1.
Goals came courtesy of an excellent hat trick from James Moore with further goals from Jacob Spear, Josh Gardener, George Hotchkiss and Jack Lewis.
The U11s West continued their impressive form with an entertaining 2-2 draw with Forest Falcons West.
The goals were scored by Elliot Mann and Will Slater with Grant Painter winning man of the match.
Enville Athletic The U15s persistance paid dividends with centre half Rickie Hipkiss getting the winner late on.
Enville face another difficult task this coming Sunday (19 March) in the quarter final of the Kidderminster Harriers Charity Cup away at Bilbrook.
Pensnett Panthers The U10s East slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Quinton Eagles.
The U13s North were firing on all cylinders as they claimed a 9-1 against Longbridge Colts Man of the match Ryan Cartwright netted four, with Thomas Dogett (3), George Tennant and Cameron Collins also finding the net.
The U13s South played out a 2-2 against Dudley Juniors with James Johnson and Sean Thomas scoring.
The U13s West drew 2-2 with Halas Hawks.
