THE TAB Operatic Society is celebrating success after winning two awards from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association for its 2006 production of Me and My Girl.
The Cradley Heath based group scooped the NODA cup for outstanding achievement and the team efforts of the producer, musical director and technical staff. The society also won the Cross Keys Rosebowl for best chorus work in the show, which starred Richard Cope and Louise Griffin as cockney sweethearts Bill and Sally.
Meanwhile TAB members will be bringing to life classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma next week.
Seasoned amateur star Richard Cope this time teams up with stage regular Alex Detheridge for the show, which features popular melodies Oh what A Beautiful Morning, People Will Say We're in Love and the show-stopping title song.
The production runs nightly from 7.15pm at Brierley Hill Civic Hall, Bank Street, from Tuesday March 27 to Saturday March 31.
There will also be an extra matinee show on the Saturday.
Tickets cost £10/£11 and are still available on 01384 572483.
