A HISTORY of the slave trade will be remembered at a Brockmoor church on Saturday March 24.
The service at St John's Church, which starts at 5pm, organised by all of the churches in Brierley Hill to mark 200 years since William Wilberforce's Parliamentary Bill to abolish the slave trade received Royal Assent.
The Rev Captain Carl Ramsay CA from the Diocese of Lichfield will preach.
The Rev Garth Nathaniel, vicar of St John's Brockmoor, said: "Through this commemorative service we want to reflect on their achievements as well as our own role in eradicating modern forms of slavery."
