A KINGSWINFORD man who published photos of a woman on the internet has been hit with a suspended prison sentence.
Adrian Jones, aged 38, from Alder Road, Kingswinford, admitted bombarding the young woman with text messages, emails and putting photos of her on the internet.
Halesowen magistrates heard over a four-month period Jones harassed his victim by texting her up to 25 times a day and she received up to ten emails a week from him.
The court heard he had previously threatened to publish the photos of the woman over the internet.
And on December 9 2006, the woman received an email containing images of herself; she also received a text message from the defendant informing her the photos and her details had been put on an adult website.
The distressed victim then reported the situation to the police.
Michael Davies, defending, said: "Mr Jones is distressed and deeply remorseful of the upset he caused and he regrets what he did.
"He was angry and impulsive and it was not carefully thought through. Mr Jones was emotional and he had an outburst.
"He felt remorse and tried to get back the images, he could not recall them but he knew what he had done was wrong."
Halesowen magistrates hit Jones with a 16-week prison sentence suspended for two years, a curfew for four months and also a restraining order until further notice - preventing him from going near the woman and her place of work.
