In-form Brandhall Labour A won their match in hand to move back to the top of the Premier Division and close in on the title.

Jamie Brown's 84 break the highlight of their 5-0 maximum against Wombourne A. With one round of matches left Brandhall have to visit third placed Bearwood Cons, while their rivals, Sedgley Working Mens Club entertain West Midlands Police.

Bearwood won 3-1 at Stourbridge Institute A thanks to Callum Downing, Joe Anderson and Mick Cash. Dave Green made a 52 break, but was beaten on the black by Ashley Aston and Ron Millward won the Institute's other frame.

Pockets SC took the First Division Championship with a match to spare as they won 4-1 at Kingswinford RBL, their 12th successive victory. Greg Kneuss, Ian Barnes, Gareth Ward and Alex Bowman secured the necessary frames, although Paul Rouse lost to Richard Jukes.

Amblecote Institute A looked certain to finish runners up but they were surprisingly beaten 5-0 by their B team in a flurry of blackball games and Harts Hill Social couldn't take full advantage as they could only take the frames at Kingswinford Cons A to draw level with Amblecote.

Norton Social A won 4-1 at Kinver to join the other two in second place .

Langley Bowling club gave themselves a real chance of winning the Second Division Championship when Craig Whitmore, Alan Hadley, Mark Nemedi and Dave Dowe upset their nearest rivals Amblecote RBLB 4-1 and they have an eight point advantage.

Amblecote, whose only winner was Dave Fenemer, have to win their last two matches to take the title.
