AROUND 200 motorcyclists are expected to turn out for the funeral of well-known Wordsley biker Paul Bradley, who has lost his brave battle against cancer.

Members of Stourbridge MCC, together with bikers from as far away as London and Exeter, will be riding to Holy Trinity Church in Wordsley to pay their last respects to the 54-year-old father-of-two, who died following a year-long fight against prostate and bone cancer. Heartbroken daughter Donna said she was also expecting droves of Dudley Council workers to turn out for the funeral tomorrow (Friday March 23) in honour of her hero' dad who worked as the borough's ICT manager for 12 years.

She also told this week of how she kept a bedside vigil throughout the last week of his life.

Determined' She said: "I booked holiday from work and slept in a reclining chair next to him and when he passed away I was with him.

"He was so determined in everything he did.

"He was the wisest, strongest person I've ever known.

"I was very close to my dad. He was my hero."

As well as daughter Donna, Paul, of Oak Park Road, leaves a son Darren, wife Gaynor, and mum and dad Beryl and Don.

The avid motorcylist, who rode a Harley Davidson and an Aprilia 1000, had lived in the Brierley Hill/Wordsley areas all his life.

As well as his passion for motorbiking, he had also been a member of Stourbridge Cycling Club - and was a keen gym-goer and squash and racketball player.

Best pal Mike Harbon said: "He was very fit, very athletic, always cheerful, a very happy guy who lived life to the full and always made you feel good about being in his company.

"He loved being out on the bike; that was when he was the happiest - cruising on his bike."

Paul's funeral, which starts at noon, will be followed by a buffet at Kingswinford Royal British Legion at Summerhill.
