DK are celebrating after victory over third placed "Dees" guaranteed them second position and at least a play off spot as they push for promotion back to National Division Three Dudley-K's 25-14 win over Dunstblains in front of a big Heathbrook crowd now means they cannot be caught with only two games to go in their bid to get out of Midlands Division One.
Although they are certain to finish second they still remain in contention for the league title.
D-K will fancy their chances of picking up victories away at Scunthorpe and at home to relegated local rivals Walsall while Luton face Peterborough at home before facing a difficult last game away at Luctonians.
Press officer Peter Stinton said: "The win against the Dees means we have at least reached one target but we don't want to stop there.
"We have got a guaranteed playoff shot most likely away to Beverley, but we still have a chance of winning this league and that is what we will be aiming for.
"If we can win our remaining games hopefully Luton will slip up and I'm sure they will not be fancying their last day trip to Luctonians.
"Everything is certainly now in the melting pot."
Peter also confirmed inspirational captain Peter Knight may be set for a remarkable comeback for the exciting run-in.
It was feared the skipper could be sidelined until next season after dislocating his knee cap, but closer examination has discovered no ligament damage so an unexpected April return could be on the cards.
lMeannwhile Stourbridge slipped to a disappointing 32-21 defeat away at Blackheath.
The loss means Stour remain sixth in National League Two with four games to play.
Stour will return to action on March 31 at home to Cambridge.
