The meeting took place at Kingswinford Community Centre at 7.30 pm on Monday March 12. This meeting was the 45th AGM. Chairman Sylvia Taylor opened the meeting.
She went on to state that the next meeting in April will not take place as it falls on an Easter Monday. This will not affect any group activities within the month.
The minutes were read from the previous meeting by Kathleen Turner. The treasurer Chris Moy gave her financial report.
As there was no election of officers. The chairman introduced them - chairman Sylvia Taylor, vice chairman Joyce Robins, treasurer Chris Moy, secretary. Kathleen Turner.
There followed a presentation of the annual report by the secretary. A presentation of an Audited statement by the treasurer. The various group leaders followed with their annual reports.
Ann Rogers Wednesday Club, Elsie Biggs luncheon Club, Rambling Group Enid Fennell and The Scrabble Group, Anita Perry. The chairman followed with her annual report. Betty Glendon took over the role of president following the retirement of Josie Cartwright who presented Mrs Glendon with the president's chain of office.
Joyce Major announced a day trip to Highgrove with only two tickets available for Kingswinford TG. There were a few names put into a hat and the lucky winners were Anita Perry and Margaret Farmer.
At the May 14 there will be a fashion show where members are invited to bring along a friend or relative. Joyce Major thanked the committee for all their hard.
The evening followed with a cheese and wine event. Any person wishing to visit or join is most welcome. We meet on each second Monday at 7.30 pm.
