A FIESTY' Stourbridge great-grandmother celebrated her 100th birthday in style.
Ada Worton raised her glass to mark the milestone at a party at Abele View residential home near Norton, where she has lived for two years.
Born on March 10 1907 in Flood Street in Dudley, the centenarian - who has two children, two grandchildren and a great-grand-daughter, has lived in the Stourbridge and Dudley areas for most of her life.
Following in the footsteps of her father Thomas Nott, she trained as a hairdresser - but became a housewife after marrying Netherton haulage contractor Edward Worton at the age of 20.
The couple lived in Netherton for many years before moving to Claverley, where their two children David and Christopher were brought up.
They later returned to Netherton - where they lived until Edward's death in 1967.
After that - Ada, a lady freemason for many years, moved to Danford Close, Oldswinford, where she lived until the grand old age of 98.
Her son David said: "She's always been fairly fiesty and has her own views."
