Chairman Jill Dunn welcomed 52 members to the meeting, which was a good attendance for the AGM. Apologies were read followed by the secretary with the minutes of the previous meeting, which were duly passed.

Treasurer Janet Tomkins gave her report, emphasising the necessity for all subscriptions to be paid by March 31. This was followed with the sub-section reports. Anyone joining the MacMillan Walk on May 15 and wishing to join in the Après Walk meal, should add their names to the board at the next meeting.

At this time in the proceedings wine and nibbles were enjoyed before the AGM got under way.

Special awards were presented to retiring Madeline Dunn and Megan Baxter for their sterling years of service on the committee. The secretary then reported on the guild's year's activities, proving it to have been a lively and interesting period.

The treasurer informed us of the accounts situation and specially thanked members who supported the Gift Aid Scheme from which our guild benefited rather well.

The AGM continued with all official posts filled and a full compliment of committee members.

The speaker was Will Farmer who gave an insight into the antique business and auction room procedure.

Irene Johnson won the annual competition and was presented with the winner's cup.

The evening's competition winner was Megan Baxter with Angela Nicholls second in line. Raffle prizes went to Molly Kona and Maureen Hart.

A date for your diary is May 8 - our open evening when Beatties of Wolverhampton will be doing a make-up demonstration.

Next meeting is April 10, speaker Mel Mills and the competition is a gypsy curio. Non-members are most welcome in St James Hall, Wollaston at 7.30pm.
