The club meeting on Monday March 5 was opened by chairman Michael Handy, who began by thanking all those members who attended the recent funeral of Vice chairman Margaret Pearson MBE.
The club was well represented; president Thelma Higgs and Secretary Yvonne Tibbetts were thanked for their floral arrangements which were placed in the porch of the crematorium on behalf of the club. The flowers were later taken to Mary Stevens Hospice.
Social secretary Pearl Lovell reported on the forth coming visit to Longhope, which is now fully booked.
Area demonstrator for the evening was Sionedd Hughes from Weston Rhyn, who spoke about life with a farming family.
In her vote of thanks former chairman Dorothy Edwards expressed a hope that Sionedd would be invited back. At the next meeting Monday April 2 Janice Hall area demonstrator from Sutton Coldfield presents 'Such stuff Dreams are made of' There will be a floral arrangement competition entitled 'Easter.'
