Terrific trebles for Tony Bartram and Graham Ball plus a single win for Clive Cook and a win in the doubles, were enough for Dudley Leisure A to take all four points in an 8-2 win against Dudley Leisure C and remain second in Division One.

Maurice Woolley and Jason Gorman had the only successes for Dudley Leisure C. Top team Jim's Gym also took maximum points with an 8-2 win at home to Wordsley, thanks to three wins for Gary Jones and two each from Shaun Rochelle and Kingsley Parker. Gary Webster and Kevin Flavell won one each for Wordsley. Bromley A stay third after hammering bottom team Thimblemill C 10-0, Martin Lewis, Peter Bird and Dave Whittingslow winning all. Two wins each from Paul Dicken, Dave Hiley and Tim Walters helped Thimblemill A to a 6-4 win against their B team. Colin Cleverly starred for the B team with three singles wins, then helping in the doubles win to secure a point.

Division Two leaders Bromley D scraped home 6-4 against second placed Dudley Leisure D thanks to three wins from Thomas Savary and two from Ben Mumford. Derek Ashmead was Dudley Leisure's best player with two singles wins. Bromley B stay well clear in third spot, despite sharing the points with a 5-5 draw at home to fourth placed Lees. Bromley had to take the final doubles to secure the draw. Bromley C drew closer by taking maximum points in a 9-1 hammering of lowly Bromley E, trebles from Colin Gower and Hannah Garbutt plus two wins from Sue Garbutt secured and easy win. Luke Flavell had the only success for the E team. Thorns A lost 7-3 at home to Wednesbury Sports Union, for whom the family team of Rod Poole, Jill Poole and Michael Poole triumphed. Thorns B had a comfortable 7-3 win at bottom team Quarry Bank Tennis, Adam Wood, Ashley Dawes and Luke Smith winning two singles each plus the doubles. Paul Smith was undefeated for Quarry Bank Tennis.
