Dozens of Kinver riders had a busy weekend with the club being represented at three different meetings.

Fifteen riders travelled to Boraston home of the Teme Valley club for the Super class fixture, thirteen riders made the short journey to Pattingham for a meeting hosted by the Sedgley Club and a further nine riders travelled to Buildwas for the first area qualifying meeting hosted by the Bridgnorth club.

The Super class meeting saw the top twenty riders from both the 125cc and open groups in last years AMCA Championship battle it out head to head. Dan Hill came out on top for Kinver finishing a very well deserved twelfth overall ahead of Craig Chamberlain who finished sixteenth.

It was a unusual return to Pattingham for Kinver riders as the track had been rented out to the Sedgley club the track was as ever in excellent condition roughing up towards the end of the day providing some exciting racing. Kinver had a good day picking up two trophies with Nigel Hammond having three excellent rides in the open class seniors scoring thirty four points for second overall. Danny Tristram in the 125 seniors had his best ride to date scoring twenty seven points for third overall just ahead of fellow Kinver rider Jon Field who scored twenty six points in fourth place. Adam Wells in the U18 junior group just missed out on a trophy scoring eighteen points with the rest of the riders picking up there fair share of points along the way.

The Buildwas riders were faced with a very dry and fast track for the 125 qualifiers which saw some spills along the way.

James Shand and James Gordon were on duty for Kinver in the qualifiers with James Gordon coming out on top scoring thirty points from two races head of James Shand who found it hard going only managing seven points from three races.

A special mention must go to Ryan Shand in the seniors group who in only his fourth meeting since returning to racing having missed most of last season due to injury crashed out in spectacular style in practice causing major damage to his machine but thankfully walking away with only bruised pride.
