The build up the of the first big final of the season is reaching fever as 16 players go in search of the £500 first prize.
On Sunday the Tony Pagett Memorial singles will take place at the Cradley Liberal Club, with the action getting underway at 11am.
The last four players to reach the finals were Tony Freeth, Matt Ryan, Keith Rosten and Mick Brown.
Some of the games players with previous top titles to their name will be in contention. Former Waterloo Champion Andrew Cairns along with Lee Lawton both travel down from up North. Warwick and Worcester county stars Ray Broadfield, Paul Hemming and John Evans will have their supporters whilst the Staffordshire challenge comes from Craig Barker. Local hopes rest with Craig Cartwright from the White Horse BC Quarry Bank.

Latest qualifiers in the Tipton and Coseley Building Society Open at West Bromwich were the holder Graeme Wilson, Kerry Morris, Stuart Smith, Richard Jackson, Rob Thompson, Terry Cutting, Lee Kington, and Roy Woolley.
Dudley Ladies County star Mandy Pagett bowled superbly to win the Thurston Ladies Open at the Chadsmoor B.C. Cannock in 2006 which entitled her to pit herself against the top men in the game in the Les Evans Memorial Classic at the same venue on Easter Bank Holiday Monday.
Mandy could not have faced a tougher opener in the 32 line up in past winner and the 2006 BCGBA Senior County Champion and Champion of Champions winner Andrew Spragg. The first prize is £400 and many of last years champions will be taking part.
