Glassboys 1 - Malvern Town 1

Leon Broadhurst's penalty nine minutes from time earned Stourbridge a well deserved share of the spoils .

Chances were few and far between before the break with the first effort on target coming from the Glassboys on 33 minutes. Broadhurst pounced on a poor clearance and helped the ball on to Adam Bastable whose effort clipped the top of the crossbar.

A minute later and Stourbridge carved open another chance when Jamie Rogers picked out Neil Kitching on the far post only for his shot to be blocked by the legs of Craig Humphries in the Malvern goal.

The visitors' only shot of the half came just before the break, Gary Price firing wide from 15 yards with just keeper Lewis Solly blocking his path.

But it was Malvern who netted the opener eight minutes into the second period, Oliver Reid drilling home a low drive from the edge of the area.

Nathan Bennett and Rogers had half chances to level before the Glassboys were awarded a penalty on 81 minutes. Rogers was tripped inside the area and Broadhurst calmly fired home from the spot.

Stourbridge could have snatched victory deep in injury time but a swirling long-range Bastable effort was well gathered by the Malvern keeper.
