BELBROUGHTON History Society will be delving into the domestic life of William Shakespeare at its ‘Twelfth Night' event on January 9.
The group will welcome back the Worcester-based On a Role theatre company to present ‘The Second Best Bed’, a one-woman play starring Liz Grand as Shakespeare's wife, Anne Hathaway, on the night of the playwright's funeral.
The scene is set, with the mourners having gone home, for Anne to remember her life with the literary giant, mulling over questions such as whether he really wrote all those plays.
The event will take place at Belbroughton Church Hall, starting at 7pm for 7.30pm.
Entrance costs £16, including fish or chicken and chips, if paid before the end of the year or £18 afterwards.
Further details are available from history society chairman John Penlington on 01562 730888 or Undine Yates, secretary, on 01562 711118.
