THE funeral of Stourbridge murder victim Paul Tompkins will take place on Monday.
Known locally as ‘Tonka’, the 59-year-old was found dead at his flat in Forge Road on New Year's Day - and a post mortem revealed he died from stab wounds.
Unemployed Daniel Jones, aged 33, also of Forge Road, was later charged with murder.
The 33-year-old pleaded not guilty to the killing last month and has been sent for trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court in June.
Tonka's funeral will be held at Our Lady and All Saints Roman Catholic Church, New Road, Stourbridge, on Monday April 25 at 2.30pm.
And a short family-only service will be held afterwards at the crematorium.
