STOURBRIDGE Police is appealing for information after two shotguns were stolen during a burglary in Pedmore Fields earlier this week.
Burglars forced open a rear UPVC door to gain entry to a house on Wassell Road sometime between 2pm on the Tuesday, December 27, and 11am the following day.
A large gun cabinet was forced open and two shotguns – a Sabel 12 bore side by side shotgun, with serial number 72205 and a Beretta Silver Pigeon free over and under shotgun, serial number SBS68454 – were taken.
Detective Constable Caroline Morris, who is investigating the burglary, said: “Thankfully incidents like this are rare and I would like to reassure the public that we are determined to find who is responsible and locate the stolen firearms.
“I would urge anyone with any information to contact us."
